This wasn't a bad place to stay. The lady working at the front desk was very nice and the breakfast was good. Our only complaint was that the main light in the room, near the door, wouldn't turn completely off. It was one of those lights that turns into a bright nightlight when it's turned off. As a person who needs complete darkness when I sleep, I found it to be very difficult to get any sleep. There should be a way to turn the nightlight part of the light off. Other than this very annoying thing, the stay here was pleasant.

As a long time employee in the hospitality industry I feel confident in my across the board 5-star ratings. It is rare that all phases of hotel management-- front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance-- operate at peak professionalism, but that is indeed the case with this hotel. I have stayed here many times and will continue to do so in the future.

Good pet friendly option with a large open grassy dog yard. The room was clean, though there was a slight unpleasant odor in our room, which I stopped noticing after the first night. The parking lot is well lit and equipped with security cameras. Despite it being next to an airfield, you won’t hear any disruptive noise. The continental breakfast is great!

The staff is beyond amazing and patient here!!!! I didn’t give 5 stars because it could use a bit of a refresh but beyond that it was a stellar stay. My Mother and I drove up to Troutdale for my a baby shower for my Son and his beautiful wife. We drove up from the Grants Pass area with our dogs on a busy Friday. The hotel had two high school track teams booked that night as well as many travelers. Upon arrival the entire lobby and dining area was packed with students and coaches but the front desk staff were incredibly quick, calm, friendly and welcoming!!!! It was literally AMAZING to watch them work. We had a good nights sleep and an early morning. I woke up at 6am and took our dogs out to use the dog area. Afterwards I went to the lobby to get some coffee and check out the breakfast offerings… and found 45-50 teenagers with 2 or 3 coaches in several stages of filling their plates or devouring plates of food AND 5 very dedicated, positive and consistently busy filling, cleaning, clearing and stocking hotel employees keeping up with ALL the demands. I got my coffee and a bagel- quickly and nice and hot - and found a table that was freshly cleaned. I watched the high school controlled chaos until it cleared out at 7:15 am. To be fair most of the kids were very mature and cleaned up after themselves. There was one coach and a handful of high school athletes who were intentionally loud, rude and entitled but the hotel staff dealt with them SO VERY PROFESSIONALLY, I was really impressed. I will definitely be back to stay once my granddaughter has arrived. Thank you to the entire staff for a lovely stay.
